Update for Cattle Exhibitors pre movement TB testing no longer required

This is an update regarding the status of the Beef South West show at Exeter Livestock Centre on Wednesday 29th September 2010.

Contrary to our previous communications, we now are operating as a Show, without a sale or auction.  This means that animals are no longer required to be pre-movement TB tested before the Show.

Over 150 cattle are already expected, as well as a machinery and cattle handling equipment area, butchery and cookery theatre, rib of beef competition, mini food festival, knowledge and technology transfer area, and key issues corner.

There is over £4,000 prize money up for grabs, from showing classes including:

  • Primestock Show
  • Suckled Calf Class
  • Young Showman Competition
  • Young Farmers Stock Judging Competition

All cattle must be brought to the site between 1pm and 6pm on Tuesday 28th September. Deadline for entries is the 31st August.
